Michael Paul Boos, 41, a Hiawatha native, died May 9, 2017 at his home in Joplin, Missouri of complications related to kidney disease.
Michael was born May 19, 1975 in Hiawatha, KS, one of four children born to Stanley and Donna Kiesling Boos. He was a 1994 graduate of Hiawatha High School. Michael went on to receive his Associate Degree in Computer Science from Vatterott College in Joplin. He was most recently employed by Leggett & Platt in IT support. Michael was an avid reader, enjoyed movies and online gaming.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stan Boos.
Michael is survived by his mother, Donna Boos, of Hiawatha; his brother, Mark Boos (Shirley) of Zenda, KS; two sisters, Julie and Jennifer Boos, both of Nashville, TN; two nieces, Alea and Peyton Boos; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Michael’s life is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha, Kansas. Father Dan Gardner will officiate. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Morrill Free Public Library, sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., 66434.
