Dorothy (Woodard) Lanyon, 95, went home to be with her Lord May 11, 2017 at 11:20 AM.
Dorothy was married for 70 years to Peter (Pete) Lanyon who preceded her in death.
She was active for many years in the Carterville Christian Church and later in the Webb City Christian Church. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Thelma Woodard and a brother and sister.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Robert Lanyon and wife, Penny, and Bryce Lanyon and wife, Phyllis and a daughter, Lissa Turpin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday May 16, 2017 at the First Christian Church of Webb City, Missouri with ministers, Mike Geisert and Boyce Mouton officiating. A private family burial will be conducted at the Carterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:30 pm on Monday May 15, 2017 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
