Fern Sanders

Fern Lorene Sanders, 76, Longview, passed away May 8, 2017 at her home following a lengthy illness. 

She was born June 2, 1940 in Neosho, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse and Agnes (Burr) Kincaid. She was a graduate of Neosho High School and married Gary Dale Sanders on August 6, 1965 and later moved to their farm in Longview where she spent 49 years with Gary. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2015. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, going to ballgames and sitting on her porch watching her cows. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. 

She is survived by three children, Robin Crook and husband, James, Sherri Mason and husband, Tim and Gary Sanders and wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Justin Crook, Keely Crook, Ashley Brown, Amber Mason, Megan Sanders and Nathan Sanders; three great grandchildren, Kenzie Crook, Emma Brown and Kaulin Ogle and one brother, Wayne Kincaid and wife, Vera. In addition to her parents and husband, Fern is preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Crook and a brother, J.C. Kincaid. 

Services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Longview. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Granby at which time the casket will be closed and will remain closed.
