James Calvin "J.C." Budd, age 79, Joplin, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
J.C. was born July 2, 1937 in Independence, Missouri to the late Earl and Dollie Linkheart Budd.
J.C. achieved the rank of Eagle Scout before serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked the rest of his career for ADT as an electrician supervisor.
He married Marcella Moore June 13, 1987. She survives at the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Christopher Budd, Washington D.C., James Kempner, Reno, Nevada, Kevin Hale, Port Arthur, Texas; two daughters, Carrie Budd, Independence, Missouri, Kimberly Friend, Joplin; one brother, Fred Budd, Butler, Missouri; a sister, Daisy Lou Quinn, Independence, Missouri; and ten grandchildren, Elaina, Ashley, Amber, James, Megan, Justin, Austin, Jack, Bo and Robyn.
Memorial services are planned for Monday, May 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Rev. Jeff D. Martin will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
