(From Clark Funeral Home)Donald Gene Curtis was born February 9, 1939 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Leo George and Lena Marie (Barrett) Curtis. He entered into rest on January 31, 2021 at his home in Goodman, at the age of 81.
Don moved to the southwest Missouri area in 1946, he had worked at McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, Teledyne and Rocketdyne and owned and operated his business, CC Grinding as a precision tool and cutter. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.
Don and Carol (Koch) were married on September 10, 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by three children, Patricia (Rodney) Christensen of Fairview, Missouri, Donald Gene Curtis, II of Spring Creek, Nevada and Jeffery Michael Curtis of Diamond, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kayla Christensen, Kristin Curtis, Derek Curtis, Amaya Curtis and Ashton Curtis and three great grandchildren, Kylie Rayne, Lauren Elizabeth and Devin Andrew. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Curtis and sister, Joann Williams.
