Mike Girdner

Marvin (Mike) Girdner, age 77, of Diamond, MO., passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home. Mike was born on December 25th, 1943 in Chouteau, Oklahoma to the late Earl Girdner and Lucie Cook.

Mike was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Mike was one of the most selfless men you could ever meet. His faith in Christ was strong. 

Mike found joy in giving to charities and churches, watching all his grandchildren and great grandchildren play in his yard, and was known for his love of animals. Mike loved watching cops and bull riding, and eating ice cream with his dogs, Thumper and Peewee. He made sure his wife and kids and grandchildren were always taken care of.








Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers Don and Wayne, and two sons Richard and Wayne Girdner.

He is survived by his wife Donna Meadows-Girdner, two sisters Lynda and Brenda, and a brother James; daughter Jeanne Bass, three sons Michael, Don, and Jim Girdner, stepdaughter, Melissa West; two stepsons Michael Yow and Adam Huffman; his ex-wife, Wanda; and best friend Steve Flood; grandchildren Devin, Derec, Tristen, Jake, Jordan, Caleb, Clayton, Connor, Hailey, Savannah, Jackson, Sophia, Seanna, Madelyn, Austin, Adelaide, Logan; 15 great-grandkids; a nephew Robert Girdner, and many other nieces and nephews.

Mike was so loved and will be missed dearly.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Josh Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.



The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
