Joann Dunn

Joann Dunn, 74, Chandler, OK passed into eternal rest February 10, 2021 at her home in Chandler, OK after an illness.

Joann Guess was born November 11, 1946 in West Monroe, LA the daughter of Daniel Frank and Audrey Luna (Maxwell) Guess. 

Joann was a homemaker a longtime member of the Racine Apostolic Church and a current member of the Stroud Pentecostal Church. She had lived in the Racine, MO area until moving to Chandler, OK in 2019. 








Joann Guess married Hardy Lavernice Dunn June 8, 1963 in West Monroe, LA. Together they traveled the world preaching the gospel and evangelizing. They even went to Brazil to evangelize. Joann loved her Lord and Savior and loved sharing the good news of the gospel. She was a wonderful cook and cooked many meals for family and friends over the years. She continued to make her home cooked meals until her health declined. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, a loving mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother. She was considered as a mother and grandmother to many people.

Joann was preceded in death by her husband Hardy Lavernice Dunn September 16, 2014. Her parents Daniel and Audrey Guess; one infant daughter, Mary Helen Dunn; one brother Joel Guess two sons-in-law, David Buchanan and Dawayne Garlinton.

Survivors include her children; Theresa Buchanan, Chandler, OK, Stanley Dunn and girlfriend Brenda Boyd, Neosho, MO, Mary Garlington, Neosho, MO, Daniel Dunn and wife Andrea Seneca, MO and Stephen Dunn and wife Aimee, Sebastopol, MS; Host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; A host of extended family, friends and church family.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Racine Apostolic Church.

Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO, will be held at 2:00 pm following the visitation with Bro. Steve Epley officiating. Burial will be in the Racine Apostolic Cemetery with Stanley Dunn, Dawayne Garlington Jr., Daniel Dunn Jr., Joshua Buchanan, Jacob Dunn and Adrien Dunn serving as pallbearers.
