Alice White

(From Parker Mortuary)

Alice Nadine White (Cooper), 91, of Joplin, MO, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Freeman Hospital ICU.

Nadine was born in the state of Kansas on May 3, 1933 and always thought 3 was her lucky number.

She met and married the love of her life, Billy Gene White, Sr. on January 4, 1950 in the state of Arkansas. They were happily married for over 60 years.

Nadine was an excellent seamstress, making doll/baby clothes on her Singer Treadle Machine and tailoring all her children’s, as well as her neighbors and friends clothing. She enjoyed sewing the fine leather products at Meeker Manufacturing until her much deserved retirement. She would crochet quilts and lap blankets for the DAV, enjoyed oil painting, donating to her favorite charities and always kept her bird feeders full so she was able to watch her feathered friends from her favorite chair.

Nadine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Nadine will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Billy G. Jr., Richard "Rick" D. White (Karen), Mary J. Harrison (Daniel); sister, Mary L. Church; and a beloved niece, Linda Small (Russell), of Dallas TX.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Osborne Memorial Cemetery with pastor Ben Johnson officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
