Linda McClendon

Linda Louise McClendon, age 78, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on April 5, 2024. She was born on April 20, 1945, in Webb City, Missouri, to Chester and Ellen (Elkins) Mentzer.

Linda cherished her family deeply and found joy in spending time with them. She had a passion for reading her Bible and was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin. Linda graduated from Granby High School and dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker.








On September 2, 1966, Linda married the love of her life, James Edward McClendon, in Miami, Oklahoma. Their loving union lasted until James's passing on May 19, 2020. Linda is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Mallory, and son-in-law Mike Mallory of Neosho. She adored her two grandchildren, Presley Mallory and Kayla Mallory, who brought immense joy to her life. Linda also found comfort and companionship in her faithful and loving Yorkie fur baby, Jasmine.

In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina McClendon, and her brother, Robert Mentzer.

Linda's kindness, love, and devotion to her family and faith will always be remembered and cherished by those whose lives she touched.







Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Granby Memorial Cemetery, in Granby, Missouri.
