Floyd Ash

Floyd Ray Ash passed away peacefully April 16, 2024 at his home in Oswego, surrounded by his loving family.

Floyd was born February 15, 1946 to Loyal Ash and Betty Kirk Ash in Visalia, California. He served our country in the Army, enlisting in 1963 at age 16. 








On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1986, Floyd married his wife Tina Marie Kabrey, in Englewood, Colorado. She survives of the home. During his life, Floyd worked for the City of Chetopa. He was also co-owner of E-F Radiators, and later retired from Labette County Sheriff’s Department. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, reading, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Preceding Floyd in death were his parents, grandparents, half brother Eugene Holcomb, and granddaughter Ashlyn Graham.







In addition to his wife Tina, Floyd is survived by his children: Vonda Graham (Jim) of Frisco, TX, Ronda Grant of Chanute, KS, Dane Ash (Maranda) of Oswego, KS, and Rayvn Ash of Lees Summit, MO; grandchildren: Colton Grant (Paige) of Topeka, KS, Parker Grant of Miami, OK, Tatum Reed (Brandon) of Rockwall, TX, Chloe Ash of Oswego, KS, Ayven Ash of Oswego, KS, and Presley Ash of Oswego, KS; siblings: Loretta Wittner (Ed) of Joplin, MO, Patricia Swenson of Arkansas; brothers-in-law JR Kabrey (Dana) of Chetopa, KS, Tony Kabrey of Oswego, KS, Kent Kabrey (Debbie) of Chetopa, KS, and Robert Kabrey (Theressa) of Chetopa, KS; and in-laws Carl and Sara Kabrey.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Derfelt Funeral Home of Oswego, Kansas. No services are being planned at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association in memory of Floyd.
