Jimmy Tauuneacie

(From Lawson's Funeral Home)

Jimmy Don Tauuneacie passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. He was only 38 years old. Jimmy was a lot of things to a lot of people including a loving father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend.

Born on December 3, 1985 in Grove, OK to Daniel and Cindy Tauuneacie, he leaves behind many who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Jimmy grew up in Grove, OK and graduated from Grove High School, Grove, OK in 2005. For most of his adult life he worked in the pipeline industry. He was an incredibly skilled operator and travelled near and far for his work. More recently he made the decision to come off the road to be closer to his children. He was working at CARDS, driving a truck locally, which allowed him to be right where he truly wanted to be, at home with his family.

While Jimmy was definitely hardworking, what he really lived for was spending time with his family and friends and doing anything outdoors, as long as it wasn’t cold! He loved to fish and hunt, whether it was deer or mushrooms. And if something had a motor and could be ridden, you better believe he’d ride it. He grew up on dirt bikes, three wheelers, four wheelers, old jeeps, trucks, and tractors. He also knew the best dirt roads and trails to avoid trouble on all of them. He never lost his love for any of those things, and most that knew him have at least one story that includes a dirt road with Jimmy.

He is probably best known for how he loved to cut up and have a good time. He was the life of the party, and his laugh was infectious. He was ornery and stubborn and had a hot temper, but he was also deeply loving and generous and had a heart of gold. He was the kind of person you could call at two o’clock in the morning when you needed a friend. He was also the kind of guy who really would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He knew how to make people feel special and loved. He especially loved his kids. He could not have been more proud to be their dad.

Jimmy is gone too soon from this world. He had dreams and plans that had yet to be realized, but while his time here was short, he loved well. He made countless friends, many of whom would come to be treated as family. Our hope now is for his legacy to live on in the hearts and lives of those who loved him. Share the stories. Frame the photos.

Jimmy is survived by his parents Dan and Cindy Tauuneacie; Brother Jason Tauuneacie of the home; his children Kyman Tauuneacie and Piper Tauuneacie of Cleora, OK; Uncle Lewis Tauuneacie and Debbie Cunningham of Jay, OK; Aunt Shawnee Rooney and husband Mark Rooney of Grove, OK; Aunt Sara Fields of Grove, OK; Aunt Becky Burger of Jay, OK; Uncle Terry and wife Patty Burger of Idaho; Uncles Leonard Fields and Lester Fields both of Topeka, KS; Special sister Heather Bellah and husband Terry Bellah; his girlfriend Andrea Pryor of Southwest City, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
