(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Anna Lea Gold, age 89, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her home. She was born June 10, 1935, in Aurora, the daughter of John and Lydia (Bond) Carl.
Anna was a 1953 graduate of Crane High School in Crane, Missouri. She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aurora, Missouri.
On July 3, 1954, she married Richard Dale “Dick” Gold, in Harrison, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2005.
Anna is survived by her son, Richard Gold, of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Cheryl Jackson and her husband, Gary of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Melody (Chuck) Carter of Aurora, Missouri and Melissa (Scott) Dudolski of Carthage, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Garrett (Genice), Mercedie (Kealan), Chance, Karson, Sydnee, Ashley and three great-great grandchildren, Jakson, Rilynn, and Krease.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John, and Lydia; her husband, Richard; her son, Mickey Gold; one sister, Opal Smart and one brother, Don Carl.
A funeral service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, in Aurora. The burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Special Olympics Missouri, in care of the funeral home.
