Crystal Emory

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved sister, Crystal Emory (Marcum), who left this world far too soon at the age of 36, due to a tragic car accident.

Born and raised in Asbury, Missouri, Crystal was the embodiment of warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her generous spirit, infectious laughter, and the kind of love that leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Crystal was a devoted sister, whose nurturing nature made her a confidante, a best friend, and a source of endless support. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and loved, always knowing the right words to say and the perfect moments to share a smile or a hug. Her light-hearted spirit and caring heart were the cornerstones of our family, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

In addition to being a loving sister, Crystal was a kind and caring soul, a loving daughter, and a loyal friend. She had an insatiable zest for life, an artistic soul, and a passion for helping others. Whether she was caring for others, creating beautiful art, or simply spending time with her loved ones, Crystal's presence brought joy and warmth to every room. She was a country girl at heart and almost always had her fishing pole with her. She was always game to go hunting for morel mushrooms.

Her sudden departure is a profound loss to all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love we hold in our hearts. Crystal's legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and an unyielding love for life and the people around her.

Crystal is survived by her loving children, Mya Pritchard and Ashton Pritchard, her father Timothy Marcum, her brother Timothy Marcum, his wife Aubrey Marcum, her sister Amy Buckner, several nieces and nephews, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness. She is preceded in death by her mother Vickie Marcum. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless ways she made the world a better place.

A funeral service to honor Crystal's life will be held at Christ’s Community Church – Joplin at 12pm on Monday, December 16th. A visitation will be held from 10am until service time. A private committal will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jasper. In lieu of flowers, a gofundme has been set up to help care with expenses for her children.

Rest in peace, dear Crystal. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts, and your memory will be cherished forever.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home. The family encourages relatives and friends to visit www.simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories of Crystal.
