Dennis Skaggs

Dennis F. Skaggs, 66, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest December 3, 2024 at his home after a short illness.

Dennis Frank Skaggs was born August 16, 1958 in Joplin, MO the son of Frank E. and Helen J. (Conduff) Skaggs. Dennis was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Seneca High School and received a bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State College. 







In his younger years Dennis worked for his parents at the former Whiteway (Gas Station) in Seneca. Later in life worked as an accountant for several business over the years until his retirement. He loved to go to flea markets and collecting various things. Dennis was an avid Seneca Indians and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed visiting with everyone he met. Dennis loved spending time watching his grandchildren in all their activities. He was a devoted husband, grandfather and family always came first. Dennis was a member of First Baptist in Neosho, MO.

Dennis Frank Skaggs married Susan Elaine Doll April 4, 2003 in Eureka Springs, AR, and she survives.

Additional survivors include his mother, Helen Skaggs, Seneca, MO; sons, Brock Skaggs and wife Brynn, Carthage, MO, Nathan Thomas, Pollock, LA, Jeremy Thomas and wife Brooke, Neosho, MO, Shawn Thomas and wife Chantal, Grove, OK and Joshua Thomas and wife Ashley, Neosho, MO; One brother, Mark Skaggs and wife Leah, Broken Arrow, OK; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Cindy Skaggs, Seneca, MO and a host of extended family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Frank Skaggs, his brother, Steve Skaggs and one granddaughter, Sativa Thomas.








The family will receive friends from 6 to 7pm, Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Seneca First Baptist Church with Bro Todd Decker and Truman Brady officiating. Pallbearers will be Brock Skaggs, Jeremy Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Joseph Thomas and Jeffery Skaggs. Following the service the body will be taken for cremation. Services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
