(From Vansant-Mills Funeral Home)Patti Lou Decker, age 72, formerly of Greenfield, Missouri went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at her home in Clinton, Missouri after battling her illness for some time. Patti's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Her husband Stephen stayed devoted and cared for her till the end.
Patti was born in Lockwood, Missouri on August 1, 1952 to Jeanne Crowder and Richard L. Boyd Sr. Pat loved crocheting blankets, reading, and spending quality time with her family, friends and loved being called “Nana” by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her forever partner/husband Stephen Decker, her children Patrick Decker (Gwen Caldwell), Tresa (Jim) O’Neal, Michael Bennett, Rhonda Berk, Kay (Mike) Sefton, and Glen (Becky) Bennett, her grandchildren; Nicole and Nicholas Veach, Jimmy O’Neal, Paul (Tara) Pierce, Michael Bennett, Morgan (Cynthia) Bennett, Jennifer (Jim) Hoffman, Amanda Moore, Shawn Moore, Mitch (Courtney)Sefton, Breanna (Kyle) Menkedick, Bryce Bennett, Amy Hughes, David Bennett Jr., Jessie Davilla, Ronnie Bennett, Dakota Bennett, Kimberly (Russ) Wilson, Hailey (Wesley) Wood. Pat had many great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings; Paul (Kay) Crowder, Laura Lloyd, Joann (Lynn) Daigh, James (Vicki) Yeager, Don Yeager, Billy Yeager, Richard (Cindy) Boyd, Regina Stapp, George (Cindy) Bennett, Lorene Freeze, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Patti is preceded in death by her late husband Gilbert Leon Bennett, her grandmother Olive Hutchteman, her mother Jeanne Crowder, stepmother Antoinette Boyd, her father Richard L. Boyd Sr., a daughter Dorinda (Tim) Wright, her son David Leon (Angie) Bennett, grandsons Austin Michael Bennett and David O’Neal, three brothers-in-law Tim Lloyd, Wayne Stapp, and Jack Freeze.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
