Troy Bugg

Troy Lee Bugg, 52, Jasper, MO passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Colorado Springs, CO. Troy was born April 20, 1969 in Lebanon, MO to Donnie and Vickie Bugg. 

He married Martha A. Poe on December 13, 1990 in Miami, OK and she survives of the home.

Troy grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1988. For thirty years he worked construction in Nevada and in Kansas City. 

Troy was currently employed by JR & Company in Kansas City where he had been employed for the past two years. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing, loved his animals, cooking and eating Mexican food, and most especially loved being with his family.

In addition to his wife, Martha, he is survived by nine children, Travis Bugg (Jena), Jasper, Anna Bugg, Joplin, Leah Bugg (Christian), Joplin, Naomi Bugg (Dustin), Joplin, Bethany Cooper (Corey), Joplin, David Bugg of the home, Nathan Bugg, Joplin, Charity Bugg, of the home, and Josiah Bugg, of the home; six grandchildren, Scotty, Ellie, Zachary, Steven, Malakai, Xander, and two on the way; mother, Vickie Davis and Winston, Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, Anthony Bugg (Michelle), Hot Springs, AR, and Donnie Bugg (Lecia), Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Bugg, and one grandchild.

Joe Bob Rickey

Joe Bob “Crow” Rickey of Commerce, OK passed from this life Wednesday, April 21, 2021. He was 46.

Joe Bob was born November 23, 1974 in Claremore, OK to Clarence James and Rita (Smith) Rickey. He had lived in the Picher area all his life. 

He graduated from Picher High School class of 1994 and worked for Rickey Asphalt Company and as a union insulator for power plants and electric companies. Joe Bob was a member of the United In Christ Church in Quapaw, OK.

Survivors include 1 son, Joseph Rickey of Jay, OK, and 1 daughter Hillary Jo Morgan and husband Dalton Barret of Neosho, MO, his father, Jim Rickey of Commerce, OK, his mother, Rita Rickey of White Oak, OK, 1 brother, Jamie Rickey of Miami, OK, 1 sister, Lisa McGowen of Fairland, OK and 3 grandchildren, Greyson Reid Rickey, Kinzley Barnard and Emberlyn Josephine Barrett.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Rev. Darrel Smith will officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Donald Costley

Donald Wayne Costley, age 55, passed from this life at Truman Healthcare Center in Lamar, Missouri on the morning of March 29th, 2021 to be with Jesus.

Donald was born in Carthage, MO to William Thomas Costley Sr. and Naomia Mae (Fite) Costley on December 1,1965. 

He graduated from Lamar High School in 1984. In his high school years he was an active member of FFA and loved to play basketball.

Donald leaves behind his brother, William Thomas Costley Jr. and wife Felicia and their sons, Zachary (Ashley) Costley, Isaac (Sydney) Costley, Elijah (Kelsey) Costley, Malachi Costley and Micah (Grace) Costley, his sister; Anna Mae Costley Scheffer and her son, Tyler (Lauren) Scheffer, eight great nieces and nephews as well as his good friend / like-a-brother, Bernie Waggoner.

Preceding Donald in death are his parents and recently his brother-in-law, Robert Alan Scheffer.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Missouri.

Tyler Carroll

Mr. Tyler Easton Carroll, 32, of Springfield, Missouri ,departed this life suddenly on Saturday, April 17, 2021, while in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Tyler entered this life on October 6, 1988, in Little Rock, Arkansas, born to the union of Thomas William, II and Ellen Adele (Cooper) Carroll. His formative years were spent in Monett , Missouri. He was a 2006 graduate of Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, Kansas. 

Tyler was extremely intelligent. He furthered his education by attending Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas, graduated top of his class from Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada, Missouri, and in 2008, he earned his finance degree from Pittsburg State University in 2016; with distinction of being on the Dean’s List every semester.

Tyler was a well traveled and articulately spoken man of many interests and talents. He started playing the electric guitar at the age of 10, and by 16 had become a master of the instrument. Musically, he possessed an innate ability to transfer his heart and mind into beautiful and powerful string arrangements, all the while remaining humble and willing to give tips and advice to other aspiring musicians.

Tyler was, professionally, a very accredited and successful journeyman pipe welder, who operated out of the UA local 178 pipe fitter trades union based in his hometown of Springfield Mo. He traveled all over the United States taking high profile jobs that required both military and nuclear clearances. Simply put, he was the best of the best in his trade.

He enjoyed reading about philosophy, history, and was a KC Chiefs fan to the core, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family. His three young nephews were very close to him and he devoted a lot of effort and time investing in their success and self esteem, all the while having a blast doing so. Tyler’s warm heart and generosity will never be forgotten. If you knew Tyler, you loved him, and you knew that he loved you too.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mark Cooper and his paternal grandparents, Dr. Thomas and Vee Carroll.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Ellen Dhooghe and husband, David, of Parsons, Kansas and Tom Carroll and wife, Marian, of Pittsburg, Kansas; a brother, Adam Carroll and wife, Sheena, of Springfield, Missouri; three nephews, Carter, Easton and Tanner Carroll; maternal grandmother, Fern Cooper of Monett, Missouri; three aunts, Connie Curbow and husband, Kelly, of Monett, Terri Cooper of Monett and Candi Carroll of Lamar, Missouri; a cousin Cami Kasterke of Owasso, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held privately in Anderson , Missouri , with Billy Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery with Levi Buckhannan, Drew Norris, Fatlume Osmani, Marcus Pratt, Travis Pratt and Lester Kasterke serving as pallbearers. Billy Mullin

Mr. Billy Don Mullin, Sr., 79, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, April 22, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

Bill entered this life on April 11, 1942, in Anderson, Missouri, son of the late Frank and Nina (Kirby) Mullin. He was raised and attended school in Anderson and was a lifelong area resident. 

 On July 6, 1991, he was united in marriage to Margaret Carson and together they have shared the last twenty-nine years. Bill worked in construction throughout his life, retiring as foreman from Builtwell Construction in Hiwassee, Arkansas.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters and grandson Zachary Geeding.

Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret Mullin of the home; four children, Sarah Boyd and husband, Steven, of Neosho, Billy Mullin, Jr. of Anderson, Russell Mullin and wife Kim of Pineville and Frankie Mullin of the state of New York; three step-children, Wayne Carson and wife, Amy, of Humboldt, Kansas, Kathy Cook of Gravette, Arkansas and Shelby Saunders and husband, Mike, of Noel; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Mullin of Neosho; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Charles Grissom

Charles C. (Dick) Grissom, age 86, of Carl Junction, went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Spring River Christian Village in Joplin.

Charles, son of the late John R. (Ray) and Bessie (Bailey) Grissom, was born on October 4, 1934 in Joplin. He attended Joplin Schools and was a graduate of the Joplin High School Class of 1953. 

On September 10, 1955 he was united in marriage to Wanda Donham in Carl Junction. Charles was drafted into the Army and honorably served from 1957-1959 at Ft. Lewis, WA. He was employed as a machinist by Lauener and Son Machine for over 45 years and retired from there. He was a member of the Carl Junction Christian Church, served as a Carl Junction Volunteer Fire Fighter for many years, and more recently volunteered with the ARM Ministries for over 20 years. During his volunteer ministries and within the community, Charles built relationships and was passionate about seeing others come to Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Wanda Grissom, of Carl Junction; one daughter, Charlotte Shoemaker, and her husband, Woody, of Oronogo; one grandson, Jacob Shoemaker, and his wife, Neva, of Lawrence, KS; three brothers, Raymond Grissom, of Joplin, Robert Grissom, Dottie, of Chetopa, KS, and Ronald Grissom, and his wife, Debra, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Grissom; and two sisters, Jeanne Alford, and Dorothy Thomas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at the Carl Junction Cemetery in Carl Junction. Open viewing will be held on Sunday, April 25th during normal operating hours at Parker Mortuary. Family requests casual attire for service attendance.

Warren Kenyon

Warren Eugene Kenyon was born July 28, 1941 in Syracuse, NY to Ella Mae (Hawley) and Warren LeClair Kenyon. He entered into rest after a lengthy illness, on April 22, 2021 at home with his family by his side, at the age of 79 years, eight months, and 25 days. 

He came to the Neosho area in the early 1960s, where he worked at Big Smith for 12 years, at Tyson Foods for many years, at Sunbeam for three years, and at La-Z-Boy for two years. Warren was a member of Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church in Neosho. He also was a member of the MO Sheriff’s Association, enjoyed playing pickle ball at the YMCA, and making bird houses. 

Warren married Barbara Ann (Ruark) in Neosho on January 9, 1975; she survives of the home. He is also survived by one brother, Terry Kenyon of Texas; one sister, DeAnna McCool of Neosho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church, Neosho with Rev. Daniel Taylor and Rev. Terry Miles officiating. Interment will follow at Gibson Cemetery, Neosho. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, April 26 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
