Helen L. Mankin Hetherington, age 98, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away on Saturday February 20, 2016, at Webb City Health & Rehab.
Helen was born on May 14, 1917 in Carthage, Mo., the daughter of the late Frank and Maude May (Goodman) Land. She has been a lifetime area resident. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sheep Shed and the Eastern Star.
She married Charles Mankin in 1933, and he preceded her in death. She then married Clyde Hetherington in 1990, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Bill D. Mankin, Chetopa, Ks.; three grandchildren, Brad Mankin and his wife Carol, Murfreesboro, Tn., Craig Mankin, Cedar City, Utah, and Cheri Stevens and her husband Scott, West lake Village, Ca.; four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
