Dr. Robert Ray Foster, 87, Neosho, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 11, 2016.
He was born in Winston Salem, NC on December 6, 1928, the son of Captain Holt and Loreen (Brewer) Foster. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a college professor, having taught Early Childhood Education. He moved to Neosho in 2006 from Alabama. Robert was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Crowder Community Choir. He was a gardener, musician and also served as a minister.
Robert married June Richards on August 1, 1948 in Panama, OK, and she survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Karen Jo Martin and husband, Joe of Neosho; two grandchildren, Robin Blanton and Eric Ray Foster-Whiddon; seven great grandchildren and numerous other family members. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and son, Jonathan Ray Foster.
The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm
