David Hutchings

David R. 'Hutch' Hutchings was born August 20, 1938 in Neosho, the son of Raymond Orvalee and Martha Dean (Yetter) Hutchings. He entered into rest on June 1, 2018 in Joplin, Missouri, following an extended illness. 

 David was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1956 and from Tarkio College in 1988 with a bachelor of science degree. He served in the National Guard for forty years. He worked as a plater and leadman at Rocketdyne, Continental, Teledyne, Saberliner, Premier Turbines, Dallas Air Motive and retired from BBA. He enjoyed fishing, photography, ham radio, gardening, four wheeling jeeps and loved being in Colorado. He loved his grandchildren and his family was very important to him. He was a member and former elder of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. 

 David and Wilma (Morrison) were married on Feb. 18, 1967 at the Lone Star Church of Christ in Granby and she survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Deidra Atkin and husband, Richard of Atlanta, GA; Debra 'Debbie' Hoyt and husband, Yancey of Neosho; four grandchildren, Chelsea Dill and husband, Austin, Derek Plumier, Lauren Atkin and Tim Atkin; one great grandchild, Kade Speak; one brother, Robert Hutchings of Port Angeles, WA and one sister, Deanna Kessinger of Kansas City, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents.
