Mary Rena Skelton, age 84, of Washburn, Missouri, passed way Friday, June 1, 2018, at her home.
She was born May 21, 1934 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Eligah “E.E.” and Leora (Luney) Bickford. On January 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to Chester Periman, who preceded her in death. She was also married to Leon Snider and then John Skelton, who both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son; two brothers; one son-in-law and a great grandson.
Surviving are three sons, Roger Periman and Kenneth Periman both of Cassville, Missouri and James Periman of Pineville, Missouri; five daughters, Sandra Hicks of Washburn, Missouri, Janice Smith of Springdale, Arkansas, Treva Johnson of Berryville, Arkansas, Alice George of Springdale, Arkansas and Vivian Nichols of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Wayne Bickford of Cassville, Missouri and James Bickford of Sheldon, Missouri; one sister, Wilma Davis of Lawton, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Barry County, Missouri. She was a homemaker and was a member of Assembly of God Church. Some of her favorite pastimes were working word searches and listening to Gospel music.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Mineral Springs Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bob Burns will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
