Gary Wayne Divine 73, passed away on January 7, 2019, in his home with his loving family at his side after fighting a long courageous battle against cancer.
Gary was born December 12, 1945, in Lamar, MO, to Opal and Audrey Cornelius "Cooney" Divine. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force from August 23, 1966 to August 12, 1970. He was employed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers from June 13, 1966 to January 2, 2001 when he retired.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother Opal, August 3, 1996, his father, Audrey Cornelius "Cooney", July 4, 1965, and his brother Ron.
Gary married Cheryl (McCowen) Lynn Divine July 11, 1969. Gary is survived by his wife Cheryl Lynn Divine of Windsor, MO, His two sons, Chris (Angela) Divine of Blue Springs, MO, Sean (Erin) Divine of Windsor, MO, four grandsons; Tyler Barrett (Shelby), Jeremy Barrett of Clovis, NM, Caleb Divine of Windsor, MO and Lane Divine (Sierra Stull) of Windsor, MO, One great-grandson Cooper Barrett.
