Wayne Woodward

Wayne Dean Woodward, 81, Seneca, MO, entered into rest on Jan. 6, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. He was born Jan. 9, 1937 to Lawrence and Lucille (Kittrell) Woodward.

 Wayne was a lifelong resident of the Seneca area and was a dairy and cattle farmer. He was a member of Hottel Springs Church of Christ, the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, and was a St. Louis Cardinals super fan.

Wayne married Charlene F. White on Feb. 10, 1956; she preceded him in death on April 25, 2005. He then married Charlene K. Lee on Dec. 19, 2008 and she survives of the home. Wayne is also survived by three children: Garry Woodward and wife, Becky of Seneca, Tammy Morris and husband, Richard of Neosho, and Vickie Woodward and husband, Alan of Neosho; one stepdaughter, Brita Baker and husband, Tracy of Lane, KS; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.



Services will be held 10 am Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at Hottel Springs Church of Christ; Lawrence Sanders, minister, will officiate. Interment will follow at Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery, Seneca. A time of visitation will be 5:30 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. The casket will be closed after visitation, to remain closed.
