Greg Chaney

Mr. Greg Wayne Chaney, 56, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his home.

Greg entered this life on September 12, 1964 in Neosho, Missouri to his parents, Don Chaney and the late, Kaye Midoux. He lived all of his life in McDonald County, graduating high school in 1982. Growing up he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. His favorite sport has always been baseball, torn between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals. As he got older, he found enjoyment watching football (Kansas City Chiefs) playing fantasy football with friends and reading, his favorite author being James Patterson. 

After graduating from high school, he worked for Daisy BB in Rogers, Arkansas, before staring his long career with Wal-Mart in Bentonville, Arkansas. In his spare time, he loved playing with his two dogs, Taz and Sonny till their passing a few years ago. 






 

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2010; an infant brother, Shannon Chaney; grandparents, Cecil and Wilma Haddock and his grandmother, Elsie Ann Chaney.

Greg is survived by his father, Don Chaney (Janet) of Southwest City, Missouri; his sister Renae Sherman (Aaron) of Anderson, Missouri; his best friend and beloved cousin, Ronnie Haddock of Anderson, Missouri; his aunt, Neoma Schlessman (Junior) of Anderson, Missouri; along with a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Greg.

A private burial will be held at a later date in the Tracy Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
