(From Midland Cremation Society)Genita Claudette Wheatley, passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 66, in Joplin, MO. She was born in Kansas City, MO on October 1, 1957, to Claude and Doris Slavin and was one of three girls.
She was a wonderful mother who doted on her children and grandchildren as well as those she cared for in the health care industry. She and George enjoyed a simple life and many years together.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Doris Slavin and sister Rosie Slavin. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 48 years, George C Wheatley; sister Mary Lou Hall; son and daughter in law George and Brooke Wheatley; daughter Gail Wheatley; grandchildren Lucas, Gwyneth, Austin and Emma and many extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday April 5, 2024, at 11:00am at Midland Cremation Society in Joplin, MO. The family requests that any flowers and other expressions of sympathy be sent to 12569 Bullock Rd. Bentonville, AR 72712 in the care of George Wheatley.
