(From Parker Mortuary)Destiny Ann Jennings, passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 22. She was born on May 10, 2002, in the scenic Lake of the Ozarks, MO, to Bonnie Pennington and the late Kenny Jennings.
Destiny's interests were a reflection of her inner beauty. She had a knack for bringing her family together. Her personality was as bright and bubbly as the sunflowers she adored, and she possessed the gentle grace of the butterflies she loved.
Destiny was always ready to lend a helping hand to others, embodying the very essence of kindness and generosity. She was a proud graduate of Joplin High School where she loved to run track. Above all, Destiny's role as a dedicated mother remained her most treasured accomplishment. Her children were the center of her universe, and her love for them was boundless and pure.
Destiny is survived by her mother, Bonnie Pennington; step-father, James Owens; boyfriend, Christian Blevins; children, River and Maddox Blevins; siblings, Jordan Jennings, Gage Jennings, Trusten Jennings, Piper Jennings, Savannah Owens, Chantel Owens; grandparents, Kim Doyle, Sherry Pennington, Roger Jennings, Belinda Jennings, and Wade Whirley; aunt, Shanna Gonzalez; cousins, Marissa Cross, Autumn Whirley, Stephen Whirley, Felicia and Leona.

Her spirit will continue to guide and comfort her children, family, and friends, as they navigate the world without her physical presence but with the enduring presence of her love.
A Funeral Service is planned on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, MO. The family invites friends for a time of visitation at 2:00 p.m.
