(From Clark Funeral Home)Rubena Cox, age 87, of Granby, Missouri passed away on August 28, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1937, in Ritchey, Missouri to Horace and Eunice (Willoughby) Laurance. She was a 1955 graduate of Midway High School.
She was a skilled seamstress, a talented cook and took pride in tending to her yard. She served on the election board for many years and was a member of the Ritchey Holiness Church. Her commitment to her family was unwavering and her legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.
On August 17, 1955, Rubena and Bill Cox were united in marriage. Bill preceded her in death on September 16, 2007.
She is survived by three children, Sheryl Cox of Granby; Pam Ramsey and husband, Dale of Seneca; and Bryan Cox of Neosho. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Heath Ramsey of Seneca and Aaron Ramsey of Dallas, Texas. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Jr. Laurance and Kenneth Bagby.
A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Rubena's life will be held at Union Cemetery near Bethpage Community, on September 3, 2024, at 10:00 am. The ceremony will mark a final farewell as Rubena is laid to rest.
