Michelle Chiodo

Our mother, Professional Singer, Record Producer/Audio Engineer, Michelle Chiodo, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Carthage, Missouri. 

Janet Michelle Chiodo passed from this life on Sunday, August 18, 2024. She was born in Suit, North Carolina, on June 26, 1939. Michelle was preceded in death by her husband, David Paul Chiodo, her parents, James Moore Patterson and Janet Michelle Berrong, her brothers, James Moore Patterson, Jr. and Gary Michael Patterson.








She is survived by her children, Terri (Victor) Moser, Penni (Mark) Pierce, Darin (Bonnie) Chiodo, David (Amy) Chiodo; her grandchildren, Jared (Nina) Moser, Bradley (Claire) Moser, Robert (Sarah) Moser, John (Krista) Moser, Daniel (Shyanne) Moser, Abby (Nicolas) Allphin, Mark (Christy) Pierce, Rachel (Eric) Allphin, Tahnee (Jimmy) Hansen, Briana (Luke) McSloy, Kyla (Trevor) Smith, Robert (Hailey) Fowler, Ianna (Manuel) Reyes, Liberty Fowler (deceased), Alyssa Chiodo, Emily Chiodo and thirty six great grandchildren.

Michelle was known for her beautiful voice. She not only sang professionally, she along with her husband Dave, built a professional recording studio in South Florida. In her later years, she owned MDA Central Casting Studios of the Literary, Creative and Performing Arts, along with her husband, Dave and daughter-in-law, Amy Chiodo, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Together, they helped young people expand their talents and learn to perform music in front of audiences. 








 In her younger days, she was Miss Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She went on to the Miss Tennessee pageant where she won the talent portion of the competition. She also trained lifeguards for the Red Cross and taught scuba diving lessons. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith in a loving Heavenly Father and testimony of His son, Jesus Christ fortified her to do hard things and to see someone in need and try to do something about it. Her faith was rewarded in her large, beautiful family and they were her most prized possession.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 1226 Ridgewood Road; Neosho, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Stella, Missouri. Services under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Missouri.
