(From Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home)Connie Marie Moore, 66, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Friday evening, August 16, 2024, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after months of failing health. She was born on January 8, 1958, in Webb City, Missouri, to the union of Marion and Irene (Pike) Alumbaugh.
Raised in Alba, Missouri, Connie was a graduate of Webb City High School, class of 1976. On June 9, 1978, she was united in marriage to James Leroy “Jim” Moore and together they shared forty-five years before his passing on August 28, 2023. Connie was a devoted homemaker throughout her life.
Connie's artistic spirit shone brightly through her love for arts and crafts projects. Her hands were rarely still as she poured her creativity into every piece she made, leaving a legacy of beauty and craftsmanship that will be treasured by her loved ones for years to come.
She is survived by a loving family who will miss her dearly: her mother, Irene Rose and husband, William, of Carthage, Missouri; her sister, Marion Ette of Aurora, Missouri; and her brother, Timothy Alumbaugh and wife, Diane, of Lamar, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Marion Alumbaugh; and her beloved husband, Jim Moore.
Private services will be held at Friends Cemetery in Purcell, Missouri. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
