(From Berna Funeral Home)Lenora Bills, age 87, of Rogers Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born on May 15, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma, she was a cherished daughter of Roy B. and Winnie O. Trammel McGehee.
Lenora was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her husband. She lived a life full of warmth and dedication and she was known for her exceptional hospitality and delicious cooking at home and at her restaurant, The Gourmet Grub. She was always full of hospitality and served many years helping cook at her church. However, her greatest joy came from spending time and helping care for her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. She had a beautiful, infectious and often mischievous smile as well.
She is survived by her two sons, Danny Pate and his wife Terri of Odessa, Texas and Tony Pate and his wife CJ of Carthage, Missouri. Lenora also leaves behind four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was born fifth in the line of ten siblings comprised of a very tight knit family, also becoming the fifth to pass away. The surviving sisters include Wille Pennick, Ann Loyd, Martha Goza, Judy Yarborough and brother Roy McGehee.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Dessie Luke, Margie Glenn, Janie Pate, and brother Troy McGehee.
A graveside service to honor Lenora’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Bentonville Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers and Ministered by Randy Cameron of First Baptist Church Bentonville.
