(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Kay Musgrove, age 81, of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Saturday August 24, 2024 at her home with family by her side.
She was born February 10, 1943 in Carthage, Missouri to Charles and Lady Marge (Beckham) Howell.
Kay was a sales associate for retail stores in the area. She was a graduate of Carthage High School. Kay attended the Alba Christian Church. Her family was very important to her, and she loved them dearly.
She married Thomas on October 6, 1961 and he survives.
Kay is also survived by, one son, Thomas Musgrove and wife Brenda, one daughter, Melissa Gilbreath and husband Eric; seven grandchildren, Jesica Housel and husband Nick, Katie Woodward and husband Derek, Cassie Banks, Hailey Gilbreath, Evelyn Gilbreath, Kristie Lett and husband Duce, Todd Smith; 12 great grandchildren, Allena Keith, Damon Keith, Brianna Housel. Nora Housel, Paige Housel, Emma Housel, Logan Housel, Trenton Woodward, Tanner Woodward, Riley Banks, Braxton Banks, and Bailey Banks as well numerous extended family and friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her daughter, Martitia Musgrove, her parents, six brothers, Richard Howell, Jack Howell, Meredith Howell, George Howell, Phillip Howell and Frank Keith.
Those gentlemen honoring her life by serving as pallbearers will be Derek Woodward, Eric Gilbreath, Austin Etcheson, Thomas Musgrove, Gary Weaver, and Jim Felker.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Wednesday August 28, 2024 at the Carl Junction Cemetery with Roger Haselquist officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the Alba Christian Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
