Harold Brazeal

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Harold Eugene Brazeal, age 88, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life peacefully on Friday morning, May 23, 2025, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri. He entered this life on August 23, 1936, in West Plains, Missouri, one of nine children born to the late Leamon and Jessie (Phipps) Brazeal.

Raised in Koshkonong, Missouri, Harold's early life was filled with the simple joys of rural living. His journey led him to Kansas City, where he met and married the love of his life, Anna Louise "Tootie" Oliver, on February 10, 1956. Their loving union was blessed with four children, Angela, Mattthew, Sarah and Joseph.

Harold's professional life was marked by dedication and hard work. For nearly three decades, he was a valued employee at Gannett Outdoor Advertising in Kansas City. In 1986, he and Anna made the decision to move to Pineville, Missouri, where they embraced the life of poultry farming, raising chickens for Georges for over ten years. This chapter of his life reflected his strong work ethic and connection to the land.

After retiring from poultry farming, Harold's passion for music took center stage. He transformed the chicken house into the Chicken House Opry, a local haven for music lovers where he and others played music every Saturday night. Harold's love for playing the guitar and writing music brought joy to many and created a legacy that would resonate within the family for years to come.

Harold is survived by his three children, Angela Divelbiss and husband, Chris, of Pineville, Missouri, Sarah Pankau and husband, Randy, also of Pineville and Joseph Brazeal and husband, James Jensen, of Olathe, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George Brazeal, of Pineville; as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty-six years, Anna Brazeal on December 15, 2012; a son, Matthew Brazeal; and seven siblings.
