(From Parker Mortuary)Wynona Lee Dugan, age 99 of Joplin, Missouri, passed peacefully at home following an extended illness. Wynona was born January 9, 1926 in Spring City, Missouri to the late Forrest and Fanny (Trewin) Griffis.
Wynona graduated from Seneca High School and in her early years she worked as the Elevator Operator at the Joplin Frisco Building. Later in life, Wynona became a homemaker, raising her two kids and helping her husband around the house. Wynona was a long-time member of First Community Church of Joplin where she was involved in many areas throughout the years. She was one to stay on schedule and everyone knew that schedule.
Survivors include her son, Patrick Dugan and wife, Chalice of Seneca; daughter, Denise Dugan of Joplin and a host of extended family.
Other than her parents, Wynona is preceded in death by her husband, Howard who passed away in 2008 and her three brothers.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parker Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Community Church in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
