Joyce Lukens

Joyce May Lukens 71, passed away on May 16, 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born on July 24, 1953, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Fred and Margaret Green.

For 17 dedicated years, Joyce served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Spring River Christian Village, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and care.







Joyce's interests were a reflection of her zest for life and her love for others. She had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went, never meeting a stranger. Her presence was a source of encouragement, and her laughter was contagious. Joyce's love for her friends and family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

An avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Joyce's enthusiasm on game days was infectious. Her love for the water was equally profound. Living at the lake, she found serenity and joy. Whether it was being on the boat or fishing, these simple pleasures were the backdrop to many of her happiest days.

Joyce is survived by her significant other, Kenneth Kuhn; children, Angel Mills, Toni Haslip (Rob), Eric Kuhn (Christy), Michael Kuhn (Stacey), Jennifer Turnball (Jake), James Turnball, Lisa Willis (Keith), Christopher Kuhn, and Bonnie Kuhn; 6 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and her beloved dogs, Daisy, Rose, and Waylon.








Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Alfred Mills; siblings, Mary Roach, Mabel Roach, Richard Duncan and David Delaney.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
