(From Parker Mortuary)Ronald Jeffery Nichols passed peacefully at home. He was surrounded by his loving family at the age of 69 on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
He was born on September 11, 1955 to George and Bonnie Nichols in Saint Joseph, Michigan
He retired from Burlington Railroad as an Engineer. He was a talented musician, with a fun-loving sense of humor and loved entertaining his friends and family.
He was a loving and devoted family man.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Nichols, Jr., and survived by his wife of 50 years, Sally Nichols; his 3 children, Christina Nichols, Lisa (Cherie) Nichols, and Ben (Noel) Nichols; 6 grandchildren, Shaeleigh Snyder, Lesley Wallace, Gage Nichols, Ember Nichols, Axel Nichols, and Weston Nichols; 3 great-grandchildren, as well as his mother, Bonnie Nichols; one sister, Trish (Gary) McElroy; 2 brothers, David Nichols and Brian (Shelly) Nichols; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, MO. The family invites friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, MO.
