(From Weng Funeral Chapel)Roger Allen Reed, 84 of Lamar, Missouri passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home, Mt Vernon, MO. Roger was born on August 12, 1940 in Lamar, Missouri to Charley F. and Ruby L. (Harrington) Reed. Roger had worked as an ammonia house operator for Dyno Explosives Co. He was an Air Force veteran. Roger was a member of the Lamar Christian Church.
Roger was united in marriage to Karan Storbeck on November 5, 1959 at Lamar, MO. She survives of the home. Other survivors include three sons, Jeff Reed (Stacey), Lamar, MO, Larry Reed (Gina), Lamar, MO, David Reed (Christy), Jasper, MO, one brother, Charles Reed, Carterville, MO, two sisters, Arlene Webber, Carthage, Mo, Peggy Cook, Neosho, MO, Grandsons, Gabe, Brian, Jordan, Logan, Issaac, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruby Reed, two brothers, Jim Reed and Tom Reed, and one sister, Donna Byrd.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lamar Christian Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant View Cemetery or Lamar Christian Church.
