David F. Miller, age 61, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday April 28, 2015, at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.
David was born on June 9, 1953, in Edmond, Ok., the son of the late Bill F. Miller and Helen (Bush) Monday. He was the general manager for Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery for twenty-three years, retiring in 2010. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife Lee Miller, Joplin; five children, David F. Miller, Jr. of Connecticut; Teresa Cornell and husband Randy, Sarcoxie, Mo., Randy Smith and wife Kim, New Castle, Ok., Kevin Smith and fiancé Shannon, Sand Springs, Ok., and Tiffany Smith, Oklahoma City, Ok.; his mother Helen Monday, Choctaw, Ok., his step-mother, Melba Miller, Oklahoma City, Ok.; one brother, Eddie J. Miller and wife Suzy, Harrah, Ok.; one step-brother, Ron Morrison and wife Lisa, Oklahoma City, Ok.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Miller; and a grandson, Shawn Smith.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Ozark Memorial Park Mausoleum. Randy Wilson will officiate. The visitation will be open during regular visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
