Katrina Swan Frossard, age 72, Joplin, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Landmark Hospital after an illness.
Mrs. Frossard was born January 24, 1943 in Step Rock, Arkansas to Olean LeRoy Soles and Mary Jane Comstock Soles and had lived in Joplin since 1965.
She worked at the former St. John’s Regional Medical Center for over 28 years working as a nurse aid, unit secretary and in security as a dispatcher.
Katrina enjoyed spending quiet time with her family; fishing at Grand Lake and crocheting. She was veteran of the United States Army.
She married Lloyd Frossard on June 12, 1963 in Maryland. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Patti Judy and her husband, Jamie, Joplin; one granddaughter, Ashley Cook and her husband, Scott, Bentonville, Arkansas; her mother, Mary Jane Soles, Joplin; two sisters, Pat Mercer, Webb City, Lola Wyatt and her husband, Jack, Jonesboro, Arkansas; four brothers, Jim Soles and his wife, Diane, Fairview Heights, Illinois, Roger Soles and his wife, Lynn, Texas, Paul Soles and his wife, Becky, Galena, Kansas, Randy Soles and his wife, Diane, Newtonia, Kansas; great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Brayden; step grandchildren, Nickolus, Garrett, Hannah; and extended grandchildren, Matthew family of LaRussell.
She is preceded in death by her father, Olean Soles and grandmother, Lola McClean.
Services are planned for Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. Interment will follow at Stone Cemetery, East of Joplin. Pallbearers will be Jim Soles, Roger Soles, Paul Soles, Randy Soles, Jamie Judy and Josh Soles. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
