Edward Arthur Forcum, age 80 of Joplin, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at National Health Care in Joplin, Missouri following an extended illness.
Edward was born October 9, 1934 in Puckett, MO to the late Burt Forcum and Rosie Mahurin Forcum. He was disabled most of his life but worked hard at everything he did. He was of the Baptist faith, accepting the Lord as his Savior late in life.
On November 8, 1952, Edward married his first wife, Ireta June and she preceded him in death in 1983. He later married Margaret Rumble on September 3, 1988 in Carterville and she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include sons, Randy Forcum and wife Linda of Neosho, Rick Forcum and wife Jodi of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Mayberry-Webb and husband Jim of Joplin; step-children, James Cochran of Bakersfield, California, Tina Emerson and husband Bill of Pittsburg, Kansas; brother, Victor Forcum of Baxter Springs, Kansas; six grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Kenneth, James, Gene and Clifford and a son in-law Mark Mayberry.
Services will be Friday, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. up to service time. Burial will take place following the service at Oakwood Cemetery, south of Neosho.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
