Joy Marie Gauss, age 68, Joplin, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital after a long illness.
Joy was born July 9, 1946 in Joplin to the late Truman Graham and Helen Hardy Graham and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
She worked in the transportation industry as a secretary for Glen’s Diesel, MNX and C.F.I. for many years. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
Joy married Robert John Gauss on October 12, 1990 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Rose and his wife, Michelle, Henderson, Nevada, Mike Rose, Bullhead, Arizona; a daughter, Lori Rose and her fiancé, Anthony Mann, Joplin; two brothers, Eldon Graham, Lubbock, Texas, Donald Graham; seven grandchildren, Shelby, Dylan, Aaron, Austin, Kathryn, Dakota, Serynity; and six great grandchildren, Harley, Carter, Sean, Laney, Lilllie and Isabella.
A memorial service is planned for Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
