Dorothy May Estes, 80, passed away Friday April 17, 2015 at her home in Carthage,
Dorothy was born November 20, 1934 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Walker Hedger and Virgie (Blevins) Hedger. She was a homemaker, loved Sewing, Quilting and playing bridge. Dorothy was united in marriage to William “Sam” Estes June 9, 1951 in Winchester, KY he preceded her in death March 2, 2005.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters Vickie Bayless and husband Mike of Carthage, Penny Estes-Petty and husband Brian of Carthage, two sons Tony Estes and wife Cora of Sarcoxie and Gary Estes and wife Debra of Skiatook, OK, ten grandchildren Jennifer Pace (Michael), Walker Estes, Nick Estes, Maggie Estes, Bobbi Caster (Danny), Beth Carney (Zeb), Shelley Still (Mark), Josh Estes (Missy), Kalyn Petty, Fisher Petty and Christy Galbraith (Andre), Eight great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded by her parents, husband and one brother Everett Hedger
Graveside services were held Monday April 20, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery of Carthage, e. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
