Dorothy M. Feather, 88, of Sarcoxie, Mo departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie, Mo surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy entered this life on October 12, 1926 to the union of the late James and Rosena (Gollhofer) Shae in Sarcoxie, Mo. She grew up in the Sarcoxie area and was a graduate of Pierce City High School. On April 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Sam E. Feather at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie, Mo. Together they shared sixty-eight wonderful years of memories. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending many activities that were related to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Sarcoxie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son; Carl Feather, three grandchildren; one brother; George Shae and two sisters; Rosalee Timbrook and Mary Lou Whisman.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, her children; Chris Feather and wife, Debbie, Curtis Feather and wife, Kathleen, Cynthia Workes and husband, Billy, and Charlotte Pickering and husband, Doug all of Sarcoxie, Mo., Tony Feather and wife, Jean, of Jefferson City, Mo, Conrad Feather and wife, Peggy, of Carthage, Mo., and daughter-in-law, Joe Feather, of Derby, Ks., fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral mass for Mrs. Feather was held. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie, Mo with Father Peter Morciniec officiating. Interment followed in St. Agnes Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Flint Feather, Kirby Workes, Kevin Feather, A.J. Feather, Josh Feather, Jamie Pickering, Denver Feather and Dusty Feather. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Feather. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inch at a Time in care of the funeral home.
