Alvin Schlueter, Jr., 88, Goodman, died July 9, 2015 at Medicalodge in Neosho.
He was born May 24, 1927 in Wentzville, Missouri, the son of Alvin, Sr. and Nellie (Henneberry) Schlueter. Alvin moved to this area in 1964 from St. Charles, Missouri. He served in the Merchant Marines and was the former owner and operator of Al’s Cigar Store in Anderson. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the American Legion in Jefferson City.
Alvin married Carrie Marie Malotte on February 19, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Lori Schlueter of Neosho, Marva Smith and husband, James of Plymouth, MN and Mary Skelcy and husband, Michael of Neosho; five grandchildren, Kelby, Kayla, Dallas, Dillon and Justeen and two great grandchildren, Deyton and Isabella, and one due in September.
