Ella Sitler

Ella Letha Sitler, 84, of Granby, died July 24, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a long illness. 

Ella Letha was born Dec. 29, 1930, the 8th of eleven children to Frank and Retta (Reed) Martin in Montreal, Missouri. She moved to the Granby area in 1938. She worked as a Southwestern Bell Telephone operator for eleven years and then worked at La Z Boy for six years. She enjoyed reading, quilting and sewing and was a member of the Bible Holiness Church. 

Ella Letha and Robert Thomas Sitler were married on Nov. 23, 1963 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2002. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Wickstrom and husband, John of Granby and Barbara Ann Sitler of Marshfield; one sister, May Freelend of Sarcoxie; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
