William 'Bud' Wirick, age 78, of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.
Bud was born April 8, 1937 to the late Harold Jason Wirick and Julia Pauline Goodrich in Dowagiac, Michigan. Bud was a long-haul truck driver for many years, working for Tri-State Motor Co. and Jarboe Sales in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Surviving Bud are two sons, Jack Wirick and his wife, Tonya of Elkhart, IN., Brian Wirick and wife, Michelle of Joplin; daughters, Lisa Wirick of Joplin and Pam Black of Joplin; grandchildren, Jamie, Tyler and Bethany Nicole Wirick of Elkhart, IN., Justin, Katie, Bethany Michelle, Tamera Wirick, Shelbie Dewitt, Trey and Megan Black, all of Joplin; great-grandchildren, Landon, Malachi, Nehemiah, Hailey and Madison Wirick; siblings, Gene Wirick and Janice Gaskill, both of Joplin.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Joyce Jordan, Vernice Strong and Ellen Cress.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Leonard Park off of 4th Street in Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
