Betty Ann Ware age 88 of Carl Junction, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her home.
She was born on January 10, 1927 in Oklahoma City to Barney Cecil Lindsey and Artie Ellen (Scott) Lindsey. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carl Junction and also was a very active member of the Carl Junction Senior Citizen Center.
She was married to James Orville Ware and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1967. Betty was also preceded in death by four of her siblings; Barbara Magerus, Rebecca Ferencick, Jim Lindsey, David Lindsey; along with a granddaughter, Carissa Chase. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Ware and wife Julie of Joplin, Curtis Ware and wife Chris of Carl Junction; daughter, Jan Chase and husband Terry of Carl Junction; sister, Alice Bradshaw of Huntington, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Betty was known to many as Grandma Betty after working for many years at the local grocery store. Betty has been taken for cremation.
The family will have a memorial visitation on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the memorial service to immediately follow at the First Baptist Church in Carl Junction with Reverend Russell Roderick officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Carl Junction Senior Citizens Center in Betty’s memory.
