Venice Ann Little, age 52 of Mindenmines, Missouri, passed unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Mulberry, Kansas.
Venice was born September 15, 1962 to James William Long and Jo Ann (Stewart) Long at Gravette, Arkansas. She married Don Little on February 16, 1992 at Las Vegas, Nevada. Venice was a Baptist, and owned and operated the Big Little Mini Mart in Mindenmines. She had also worked as a truck driver, a waitress, a secretary, and had owned a restaurant and catering service. Venice enjoyed sewing, crafting, making quilts and spending time with family and friends. Venice was a very strong willed loving person.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Don Little; a daughter, Samantha “Sam” Little of Wamsutter, Wyoming; her father and step-mother, James and Patty Long, of Walker, Missouri, a brother, William Dean and Lisa Long of Mulberry, Kansas; three sisters, Diana and Hippie Coates of Mulberry, Kansas, Debra Klein of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Cynthia and Eddie Bazal of Liberal, Missouri; and two granddaughters, Joanna Little and Alexis Little. Preceding her in death was her mother, Jo Ann Long.
A Memorial service was held Friday, July 24, 2015 at Daniel Funeral Home Chapel. Nephews served as pallbearers.
