Sallie Lynn Farris Cupp, age 67 of Loma Linda, MO passed away peacefully at 8:40 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family. She fought a brief, but courageous 6 month battle with thyroid cancer.
Sallie was born September 4, 1947, in Joplin, to the late Amos Neal Farris and Flora Jean Smith Farris and lived in Joplin all her life. She was a 1965 graduate of Joplin High School & attended Joplin Junior College. She married Steven D. Cupp on September 2, 1967 in Joplin.
Sallie was an extremely dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress; she specialized in & sold children's clothing. She was an avid bridge player, belonging to two groups and she loved to travel the world. She was the ultimate hostess and party giver.
Sallie is survived by Steve, the love of her life. Additional survivors include son, Brad Cupp, Joplin; daughter, Amy Cupp Reyerson and her husband, John, Davidson, NC; two brothers, Chris & Brent Farris, Joplin; 3 grandchildren, Trinity Cupp, Joplin; Abby & Johnny Reyerson, Davidson, NC; 2 nieces, 3 nephews and extended family, as well as her beloved boxer, Lacey.
