Thomas Williams, age 85, of Monett, MO, passed away on Monday morning, July 6, 2015, while at his residence.
Thomas was born on May 29, 1930 in Blue Jacket, OK, the son of the late Lenard and Anna (Ryan) Williams. He graduated from Vinita High School in Vinita, OK and later worked for Thorco in Cassville, MO, until his health forced him to retire. Thomas was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed raising animals, dancing and watching western movies.
On August 16, 2003, Thomas married Brenda Lawson Haines in McDowell, MO. Survivors include his wife, Brenda, of the home; one son, Daryl Williams, of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Jan Patton, of Siloam Springs, AR; two brothers, Raymond Williams, of Claremore, OK and Marty Williams, and wife Linda, of Carl Junction, MO; two sisters, Ann Woods, and husband Bob, of Stonewall, OK and Dottie Littrell, of Vinita. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lynn Lemons and Geraldine Cook; and a sister-in-law, Mary Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. Reverend Max Hook will be officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compassus in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
