Orvie J. Freer, age 56, of Carthage, MO died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his home in Carthage, MO. Mr. Freer was born in Monett, MO on Wednesday, November 05, 1958. He was the son of Jack Freer and Mary Ann (Brafford) Buchannan. Mr. Freer was married to Kande Felts on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Miami, OK. He was a well-known fence builder.
Surviving are the following: his wife, Kande of the home; two daughters, Samantha Freer of Carthage, MO and Kimberly Ward (Monte) of Joplin, MO; three step-sons, Canaan Vermillion (Ashlyn) of Branson, MO, Caleb Vermillion, and Shiloh Vermillion both of Seneca, MO; his mother, Mary Ann Buchannan of Wentworth, MO; two brothers, Jeff Freer (Teresa) of Suwanee, GA and Randy Freer of Midwest City, OK; four step-sisters, Denice Mathews (Matt) of Sarcoxie, MO, Peggy Buchannan of Omaha, NE, Pamela Rathbun of Council Bluffs, IA, and Debbie Buchannan of Omaha, NE. Mr. Freer was preceded in death by his dad, Jack Freer, and his step-dad, Don Buchannan.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, July 25, 2015, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Saturday, July 25, 2015, beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Butch Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO.
I saw orvie once on tv and he had a hat on with his business name and i called him to do some work. I have never seen a man work so hard in all my life...... super nice guy and will be missed
