Victor Alan Killman, age 55, Carthage, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness.
Victor was born August 18, 1959 in Monett, Missouri and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
He graduated from Sarcoxie High School in 1977 where he was class Valedictorian. He played football and little league baseball; was a member of Carthage V.F.W. Post #2590; listened to country music; was a fan of Kansas City Chiefs and St Louis Cardinals and loved to fish.
One of his proudest accomplishments was that he was able to help his brother, Terry, with a stem cell for bone marrow transplant four years ago.
Victor married Teresa Dosher on May 2, 2009 in Carthage, Missouri. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his mother, Evelyn Robertson, Carthage; three brothers, Ronnie Dale Killman and his wife, Joan, Carthage, Leonard Lee Killman and his wife, Kathy, Christopher, Illinois, Terry Wayne Killman and his wife, Michelle, Independence, Kansas; adopted siblings, Kat Setzer, Stephen Killman and his wife, Sandy, Carthage, Michael Killman, Wasanna Rushing; and his good friends, Marty Stark and Rita Barrett.
In addition to his father, Stephen Killman, Victor was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Duane Killman and a sister, Evonna Joann Killman.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Life Church, Carthage.
Interment will follow the following Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Avilla Cemetery, Avilla, Missouri.
